FLIP isn’t just another internship — it’s a transformational journey designed to mold high-potential individuals into entrepreneurial leaders who are equipped to thrive in dynamic, real-world business environments.
What is FLIP 2025?
FLIP 2025 is a 12-month leadership development experience, broken into two distinct but complementary phases:
Phase 1: Internship (6 Months)
A hands-on, fast-paced internship across one or more of the FHL Group’s portfolio companies. Interns will gain real exposure to startup business operations, strategy, innovation, and execution across industries such as:
ICT Solutions (TechCity)
Industrial & Commercial Equipment (Equipex Group)
Waterproofing & Flooring (Works Contractors)
Youth Sports Development (FC45 Academy)
Interns will work closely with founders, managers, and team leaders — solving real challenges, contributing ideas, and driving projects that matter. They’ll be exposed to startup hustle, leadership decisions, and organizational growth from the inside out.
Phase 2: Aspire Business Growth Programme (6 Months)
After the internship, FLIP candidates are enrolled into the prestigious Aspire Business Growth Programme offered by the Africa Management Institute (AMI) in collaboration with Stanford Seed.
This part of the program deepens business acumen and leadership capability, with practical modules focused on:
Entrepreneurial thinking
Financial planning and cash flow management
Growth strategy development
Operational excellence
Innovation and customer-centered approaches
Aspire’s blended learning model allows FLIP interns to gain certification while working on real business issues — reinforcing their internship experience with strategic frameworks and global best practices.
